Music vs. Lyrics




Through and through, with very few exceptions, i'm a MUSIC kinda guy... Not paying too much attention to the lyrics, hidden meanings and emotions they convey! I might pay attention to lyrics in very few cases like Pink Floyd or Pearl Jam etc. In my case the lyricist / songwriter is almost redundant.

I guess music touches u directly. Whilst lyrics have a barrier of language and comprehensibility, music is universal...

    I wudnt say lyrics acts as a barrier..and in no ways as language and comprehensibility..Wot it does is,compliment the music or can ruin it...And same works with music too...

    But to ur,fr me..its indeed the music!!

    For me if audio & video of a song is compared, then I go for Audio & its lyrics. But since I am learning to play the guitar I now believe the music is vital. If accompanied with gr8 lyrics, the song/tune becomes a legend.

    @ NAV - So Rupesh was buyin the guitar for u! Anyways, my point of discussion here is only with respect to audio... wat touches u the most, the music or the words...
