They arrive... They help... The tough times have passed... You are relieved...
Then u turn around to all those who came and say "Thank You very much for coming and helping me in this tough situation"
Then some of them say, "Why are you saying THANKS... we feel like we're someone u dont trust... like we're some strangers to you..." and the works...
OK... I get the point that they're being aggressively and dramatically Nice / Polite / Friendly / Any Others, but cant they just say "YOU'RE WELCOME... You can count on us anytime!"
Is it too much to ask for, if I want to express my gratitude?
Ofcourse u can expres ur gratitude..But it wudnt cost ya to listen to all dat dramatics from them either.U many not have ur kinda response,bt u gotta be ok wit wot u get as a response..
ReplyDelete@ Sandy - Well ya, do I have a choice apart from trying to be OK with what I get? Thats not quite the point I'm putting in there...
ReplyDeleteWhat I'm tryin to say is that, when sum1 has been thru a tough ordeal, he's already mentally exhausted. Hence I feel u can spare him some more exhaustion by keeping it light at that moment and doing the drama, if required,later...
it is called bhav khaaing....sometimes people help you...bcoz its something they can do easily....they dont help you by going out of the way....they dont have to....aise time par log aur bhav khaate hai...
ReplyDeleteTimes when they go out of the way....they might take ur thanks gratefully....coz they know its value....as they have been thru something too....
Kahi logon kaa to simply style rehta hai....to maan lene kaa....after all they have helped....itni si baat to sun hi sakta hai naa?
-ravi
@ Ravi - Haan yaar... madad li hai, toh sun na padega...
ReplyDelete- Ravan
mein bhi wohi tho bola !!
ReplyDelete@ Sandy - Ya, and I agreed to it in the first place as well whereas wat im sayin is that ppl can be a bit more thoughtful and save the drama bazi for later...
ReplyDeleteYou hit the nail. Absolutely true, but I suppose the dramatics make things a little bit more.. spicy, kind of.
